We started as a local butcher shop in 1909 and have been serving our community for over 110 years. We love the essential service we provide to our customers, which include restaurants, healthcare facilities and schools. Our team works hard buying, selling, picking and delivering groceries and non-food items to our customers. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supervising a team of Short Haul Drivers and coordinating their pick-up routes, as well as communicating daily load assignments and schedule changes, and will participate in the interviewing process for recruiting Short Haul Drivers . On the job, you will help to keep operations running smoothly by coordinating requests and negotiating freight quotes, organizing pick-ups with suppliers and vendors, scheduling shipments, tracking orders, and maintaining liaison with various departments within Ginsberg’s Foods. This position assists in influencing a team culture built on respect, communication, and service, and is supported by leadership who wants to see you succeed!

As a warehouse order picker/picker, you have the ability to control how much you earn based on your level of performance. As a new team member, you can earn up to $27.00 per hour in base premium nightly wages starting 30 days of employment.

Ginsberg’s Short Haul Drivers are responsible for transporting and delivering freight in a safe and prompt manner through the use of a refrigerated tractor-trailer while, at all times, obeying all Department of Transportation and traffic laws and regulations. Short haul drivers may work a variety of shifts, including those that start early in the morning, those that end late in the evening, and those that include work on the weekends. So a flexible schedule is essential. Drivers are required to take runs down to New York City and Long Island and are expected to engage with customers and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
As a Class A trainee, you have the opportunity to begin a career as a Commercial Driver through our entry-level cdl paid training. On-the-job training will be conducted with an experienced training team using equipment and routes specific to a delivery driver at Ginsberg Foods. Training will include everything needed to pass a Class A road test, including specific maneuvers such as backing, parallel parking, complete DOT vehicle inspections, DOT registration regulations, road course preparation, coupling and uncoupling, and Smith System certified safety training.
